The Kitchen Review
Formed in 1971 and housed in its current location, a former ice factory, since 1986, the Kitchen has long been a leading light for interdisciplinary performance art. Expect works by such experimental artist as Charles Atlas, Kiki Smith, Philip Glass, and Elizabeth Streb. Music, visual arts, and dance are represented as well as theater. Literary events are often free; most others can be seen for $10–$15.
