New York City Restaurants

North End Grill

North End Grill Review

The movers and shakers who frequent this handsome, seafood-heavy restaurant in the Financial District are in good hands. Floyd Cardoz, who made a name for himself at the now-shuttered elevated Indian eatery, Tabla, mans the stoves, churning out inspired fare like memorable grilled octopus, pumpkin soup bobbing with crab, and succulent whole fish (for two). Carnivores can dig into a juicy Berkshire pork chop, lamb loin topped with a minty chickpea puree, or the whopping 16-ounce ribeye. Save some stomach space for a sweet ending: the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla bourbon ice cream is sublime.
