New York City Restaurants

Fedora Review

Up until 2011, subterranean Fedora was an ancient, little-patronized restaurant with an even more ancient owner (of which the restaurant was eponymously named). But charming Fedora—the old Italian owner—has left the building and restauratuer Gabe Stulman took over the spot, vowing to keep the place largely intact. At least the decor. Now see-and-be-scene folk cram the long narrow space munching on French Canadian–accented fare like garlic cream-topped duck breast and scallops paired with bone marrow and sipping cocktails, including the creatively named (and made) signature cocktails. Fedora (the restaurant) will never be the same and that's maybe a good thing.
