Fodor's Review:

This low-key hotel with a distinguished history and a Continental feel is across from Washington Square Park's magnificent arch. Most striking is the intimate bar, with its mosaic floors, elegant mirrors, and wrought-iron-and-brass gate from Paris. Request one of the lovely, crimson-accented renovated rooms. Its proximity to New York University keeps it busy with visiting parents.

Great location! Subway and Starbucks on the corner. Helpful folks at the front desk. Room could use an update but it was clean.
