Brasserie

$$-$$$, Brasserie, Midtown East

User Rating: ***** 4.8

Fodor's Review:

This Midtown ultramodern brasserie has an unmistakably downtown vibe. Architects Diller & Scofidio have created quite an otherworldly environment. The contemporary and classic brasserie fare -- served from morning to late night -- is usually scrumptious. Order from the ample raw bar, dive into frisée salad with spiced walnuts and Roquefort croutons, and move on to slow-cooked Chatham cod with chanterelles, fingerling potatoes, and a lobster emulsion. On weekday evenings, stop by for a glass of wine and enjoy free bar snacks like mini-paninis and hard-boiled eggs.
