Peels Restaurant

Peels Restaurant Review

Imagine a Southern-flared eatery in one of the hippest parts of Manhattan, and you might come up with Peels, a sceney grits-and-all spot from the people who gave NYC the überhip (and trendsetting) Freemans. As one might expect, the buttermilk biscuit egg sandwich is a delightful way to start any day. And the buttery grits are done right. Peels really excels with more original fare, though: the andouille corn dogs with sweet Dijon mustard and the root vegetable pot pie are good enough to name your next child Cletus.
