DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel New York City-Times Square Review

Space is the big draw at this all-suites, 45-story Times Square top dog, where rooms are twice the size of New York City's average one-bedroom apartment. Every room here is a suite, with a separate bedroom and living room (each with a big flat-screen TV), occupying about 400 square feet overlooking Times Square and Broadway—an especially desirable location during the New Year's Eve ball drop. Rooms are stocked with amenities, including iPod docks, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, and double vanities in the bathrooms. The sofa in the living room folds out into a bed—great if you're traveling with kids. Downstairs, the lobby has free Wi-Fi and guests can sip coffee or martinis in the lounge.

    Wonderful time

I brought my mother to NYC for our birthday (we have the same birthday) I ended up booking a room here and we loved it. The DoubleTree is in a perfect location and the staff is pleasant. I thought I got double beds so when I found out it was only one I was upgraded for free to a double. All the rooms are suites so you get a very large area for a nice price. We also LOVED the cookies and I wish I could get more. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I'm happy I booked our birthday room here.

DoubleTree Guest Suites Times Square Review

    Great Times Square/Theatre District Location
I stayed here for one night in late July 2010 using a Hilton free night award. The location couldn't be better - or more touristy! I could see the Duffy Square TKTS booth from my window, along with the non-stop 24/7 action! You enter this hotel on the street level, and must immediately take the elevator up three floors to the lobby. The lobby is small, but they've made a clever use of the space. If you want to sit and wait for friends, most of the seating is in the little bar area, so you are encouraged to have a drink while you wait. The bar area serves some breakfast items in the morning, while Gingers, their full-service restaurant, serves an excellent buffet (made-to-order omelets and waffles, among many other hot and cold choices). It is necessary to take another bank of elevators to the guestrooms. The rooms are huge - with a living room area and separate bedroom, and nice-sized bathroom. There's a wet bar area in the living room, with a microwave and refrigerator and bar sink. This is one of the largest hotel rooms that I've ever stayed in in New York City. I would definitely stay here again, although as I said previously, it is right in the middle of the Times Square/Theatre District area, so there's lots of action going on which some people may find too hectic and touristy.

DoubleTree Guest Suites Times Square Review

Love this hotel. If you are going to NY for theater, its a super location. The rooms are huge - perfect for sharing. Two beds in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living, make wonderful accommodations for ladies on the town. The baths have big vanities with double sinks and great large mirror, while the living room has another counter and mirror over the bar -- again, plenty of room for everyone to get ready to go out at once. Security at the entrance is also very good, so ladies alone feel quite safe.
