Fodor's Review:

You get an undisguised whiff of trendiness entering this swanky hotel. European lounge music pulses to the beat in the lobby, and there is a subtle scent of guava coming from the candles. The concierge, you learn, is referred to as an "Agent of Desires." Ah, yes: this feels like South Beach—where the management team runs three other hotels. The mellifluous name is Italian for "apple," and the hotel draws a good number of Italians and other Europeans who like the beat and the new rooms, which are stylish and contemporary with their straightforward lines, light colors, and simplicity. Fill out the hotel guest preference questionnaire in advance and get a complimentary snack and drink upon arrival. Pros: stylish, clean new rooms; guest preference program. Cons: slow and small elevator; no glasses in bathroom.
