¢-$, Cafe, Upper West Side
Fodor's Review:
Aside from the addictive cookies, muffins, and other baked goods, Columbus Bakery carries homemade sandwiches, soups, salads, and frittatas, as well as inexpensive entrées like chicken Milanese and hanger steak. It's great for breakfast or a pit stop after exploring Central Park or the nearby Museum of Natural History. If you can snag a table outdoors, the seating area is lovely for sipping a cappuccino or a glass of wine while watching the neighborhood's parade of oversize baby strollers and pedigreed dogs.
