Fodor's Review:

At the center of a triangular plaza sits this 14-foot-high, 70-foot-long rectangular memorial. Passages from news dispatches from the wartime period and the letters of military service people are etched into its wall of greenish glass. The Walk of Honor memorializes 1,741 New Yorkers who lost their lives in the war.

  • Subway: 1 to South Ferry; R, W to Whitehall St.; J, M, Z to Broad St.
