Fodor's Review:

When it was built in the 19th century—back when the northern border of residential Manhattan was at 38th Street—the Dairy sat amid grazing cows and sold milk by the glass. Today the Swiss-chalet-style Dairy houses the Central Park Visitor Center, which has exhibits on the park's history, maps, a park reference library, and information about park events.
