Daniel Boulud's "casual bistro" (it's neither, actually) consists of two elegantly appointed dining rooms. The menu is organized by the French names of seasonal ingredients—lobster (homard), tuna (thon), and mushroom (champignon), for example. Within each category, appetizers and main courses are listed. There was quite a fuss made over the $32 hamburger, available at lunch and dinner. But considering it's gloriously stuffed with braised short ribs, foie gras, and black truffles, it's almost a bargain. Almost.
