New York City Nightlife

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW)

Updated 02/24/2014

Fodor's Review

Works by new and established playwrights anchor this theater's repertoire. Jonathan Larson's Rent got its start here before going to Broadway, as did the hit musical Once. Works by Tony Kushner (Homebody/Kabul), Caryl Churchill, Amy Herzog, and Paul Rudnick have also been staged here. Hit the box office for Sunday night CheapTix; those seats are $20—in cash—as available (advance purchase is recommended).
