Fodor's Review

Local restaurant legend Danny Meyer has gone a little low-brow with his fast-ish food venture, Shake Shack—and New Yorkers are loving it. The Upper West Side Shack is an eat-in joint just across Columbus Avenue from the American Museum of Natural History. Although the lines may be long at lunchtime, the grub is good and well priced.

Shake Shack Review

This is the NYC equivalent of In'N'Out, in a color scheme of green and silver instead of red and yellow! If you have the choice of the two locations, ABSOLUTELY prioritize the Madison Square Park location (instead of the Upper West Side) - in the evening, the twinkle lights strung among the trees, with views of the Metlife Tower, Empire State, and Flatiron Building, turn a casual burger dinner into a magical experience.
