Fodor's Expert Review Mission Cantina

Chef Danny Bowien rocked the New York dining scene when he imported his San Francisco hit Mission Chinese Food here, and then added another local favorite with this Mexican eatery. The menu changes seasonally, but expect adventurous taco creations with creative ingredient pairings: beef tongue sprinkled with peanuts, and fresh tuna with wasabi are standouts. There are also huge burritos stuffed with chorizo, lamb, and rotisserie chicken. There's an additional non-Mexican menu of Chinese staples available, too. The floor-to-ceiling windows are excellent for people-watching.
