Fodor's Review

Kefi is Greek for the bliss that accompanies a bacchanalia. At Michael Psilakis's Upper West Side eatery—a giant homage to his grandmother's Greek cooking—it's not hard to achieve such a euphoric state. Among the mezes, the meatballs with roasted garlic, olives, and tomato stand out; the flavorful roast chicken with potatoes, red peppers, garlic, and thyme makes for a winning entrée; and the béchamel-rich Kefi mac 'n' cheese is irresistible. Reasonable prices make it easy to stick around for a piece of traditional walnut cake with walnut ice cream.
