Actor, comedian, and poetry-lover Bill Murray will be reading New York City-inspired poems while walking across the Brooklyn Bridge this year as part of the 22nd Annual Poetry Walk on June 12. Such celebrated poets as Sharon Olds, Claudia Rankine, Gregory Pardlo, and Billy Collins will also be joining Murray in the pilgrimage that spans the length of the bridge: 1.1 miles.
Since its inception in 1996, Murray has reportedly rarely missed the walk. According to the event’s page, admission starts at $250 for the general public and $225 for Poets House members. Proceeds go toward the events and public programs Poets House presents each year.
