Water Mill
This small village, settled in the mid-17th century, is the nation's only community with a functional, working water mill and windmill. The original settlers used the mills as power sources to grind grain, saw wood, and make paper and clothing materials. Today there are several restaurants in this tiny village, and the block-long Main Street has the South Fork's only old-time penny-candy store, in existence for more than 50 years.
