1. Katonah Museum of Art
The museum's changing exhibitions span a wide range of cultures, mediums, historical periods, and social issues. It's not uncommon to see a show about banjos or puzzles followed by a more traditional art exhibit—a review of Latin American works or a retrospective of Richard Diebenkorn's prints, for example. Guided tours start at 2:30 Tuesday through Sunday.

2. Muscoot Farm
The county park, once a gentleman's farm, was named after a Lenape word meaning "by the swamp," because of its location near what is now part of the New York City watershed. A lively seasonal roster of special events is offered, including hayrides and demonstrations of blacksmithing, maple sugaring, and sheep shearing. Farm animals—sheep, chickens, pigs, goats, cows, horses—are permanent residents.
