Mauro Sessarego, who teaches at the Culinary Institute, had always wanted to open a shop selling gelato to remind him of his childhood in Italy, and his dreams came true in the form of this Rhinebeck gelato shop. Made from Hudson Valley Fresh milk and cream and local, seasonal fruits, herbs, and cheese, the gelato comes in unique and magnificent flavors including a superlative goat cheese and honey. The shop also sells authentic Italian espresso and houses a new outpost
of Red Hook's Me-Oh-My Pie Shop as well as a juice bar.
