Bus Travel in Hamptons and Montauk

Long Island Bus, part of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, travels throughout Nassau County and western Suffolk County, stopping at nearly 50 Long Island Rail Road stations. From late May through August, the LIRR offers special train-bus packages to Jones Beach State Park. The plush Hampton Jitney and Hampton Luxury Liner link Manhattan with the South Fork towns and offer connections to MacArthur Airport. Fares are $24-$37 one way. Reservations are required for all trips.

Sunrise Coach Lines serves the North Fork, offering direct daily service from Manhattan and Queens to Riverhead, Mattituck, Cutchogue, Southold, and Greenport, for $16 one way during peak travel times. Seats must be reserved.
