$$-$$$$, East Hampton
Fodor's Review:
Rooms at this 18th-century inn have canopy beds, fine bedding, and an eclectic collection of early-American and English antiques. Outside are a flower-bordered patio and a yard. The restaurant ($$$$) consistently earns rave reviews for its innovative and fresh approach to preparing food. Risotto includes Montauk lobster, basil, and asparagus; more fanciful is the roast loin of pork, which comes with mustard custard, brussels-sprout leaves, candied-apple preserves, and rosemary jus.
