Fodor's Review:

With their chintz wall coverings, fluffy quilts, and wall-to-wall carpeting, the individually decorated rooms at this clapboard inn overlooking Town Pond surround you with comfort and charm. Less than ¼ mi from the beach, the inn is also within walking distance of shops, a movie theater, and restaurants. The complimentary Continental breakfast includes muffins, bagels, fruit, and Starbucks coffee. The James Lane Cafe ($$-$$$; no lunch) has family-style service and is known for its aged prime beef, lobsters, and crab cakes. Open-air dining is on a tented and screened garden terrace. A children's menu is available.
