A colonial farmhouse dating from the late 1600s, this shingled structure has been expanded over the years and derives its form and style from early English and Dutch traditional houses. Rooms are bright and furnished with antiques, the beds are covered with thick comforters, and the innkeepers pamper you with afternoon cocktails and the like. Beaches are within ½ mi of the inn, which provides passes.

Could not have been handier for the horse show in June. It has a real cozy feel to it (It dates from 1686) and a genuine country house feel. The staff were most helpful and did everyuthing to make us feel at home - even late night raids on the pantry and liquor cabinet were allowed.
We had great fun, though it might be a little pricey. The owner said I should have haggled and next time I will!

My wife and I had not slept in 2 years following the birth of our two children. We were desparate to get away to a quiet and romantic place. Cutting to the chase, our bedroom was 20ft from rte 27, the major highway running through the Hamptons. The noise was unbearable. We should have stayed home. The premises were poorly kept and rooms were tiny. If you need a place to stay, fine. If you are looking for a nice getaway, this is not the place.
