Almond

Fodor's Review:

This cozy spot, with a pressed-tin ceiling and loads of wood, is known for its brasserie-style food. The flounder served on a bed of spinach in a tureen is sublime, as is the striped bass Provençal. The menu also includes chicken, lamb, and veal dishes; casual fare, like sandwiches and burgers; and a raw bar. French names dominate the wine list. Surprisingly fair prices and friendly service add to Almond's appeal.
