Water Mill Museum

Fodor's Review:

Originally built in 1644, the oldest operating water mill on Long Island is still fully operational today. You can work the lathe and learn the arts of quilting and weaving here. Uncle Fred's workshop, also on-site, has handmade toys.

  • Cost: $3 suggested donation
  • Open: June-Sept., Thurs.-Mon. 11-5, Sun. 1-5
