Grand Island

Grand Island

The low and flat Grand Island is the largest of the islands dotting the Niagara River between Buffalo and Niagara Falls. (In fact, it's larger than Manhattan.) Two spectacular high-arching bridges link it to the mainland. Once farmland, much of the island is now residential, and many of its inhabitants commute to Buffalo. Beaver Island State Park is at the southern tip of the island.
