For great seafood, this Albany establishment with tiled floors, white tablecloths, dark wood, and polite service is the place to go. Two menus are offered at dinner: one has dishes from 1913, the year Jack's opened, and the other lists more-contemporary preparations. Oysters, steak, and prime rib are regular features. Signature dishes from the 1913 menu include calves' liver sautéed with bacon, and Jack's Seafood Grille, which contains scallops, shrimp, and salmon.

I grew up in Albany, NY. Before my recent vacation to the Albany Region I hadn't been to Jack's since childhood (I am 63 now). I made my reservation through OpenTable.com before I left New Mexico. I got the table I wanted by the front window they had it reserved for me when I got to the restaurant and I have to say the food was GREAT and the service even Greater. I met the owners they came to my table and greeted me and I have to say this has to be
the only perfect restaurant I have ever been in and I have traveled around the world. I give it 10 stars way above the five star rating. Jack's is a must go to restaurant if your visiting Albany, NY. Floyd Castle, New Mexico
