Suiter Mansion

Suiter Mansion Review

The 1884 Victorian mansion is one of four buildings, all within short walking distances of one another, that make up the Historic Four Corners. Upstairs at the 1834 Herkimer County Jail ($2) is a large dollhouse assemblage. The Reformed Church (1835) and the Herkimer County Court House (1873), as well as the jail, may be visited by appointment. Adjacent to the Suiter Mansion, which you can tour, is the Eckler House, a simple Italianate house occupied by the Herkimer County Historical Society. Its holdings include gravestone files, photographs, maps, and a manuscript collection.
