Casa Gallinas Review

This peaceful compound of three stylishly appointed casitas is out in a rural area near the Hacienda de los Martinez museum—a spot where you can hear the birds sing and enjoy relative isolation, but you're still just a five-minute drive from the restaurants and shopping on the plaza. Each casita is filled with tasteful artwork, painted with vibrant colors, and decorated with one-of-a-kind handcrafted furnishings and fine textiles—one has two bedrooms, and they all have fully equipped kitchens, making them ideal for longer stays. The Bantam Roost has a large deck off the second-floor bedroom. Host Richard Spera is a massage therapist with a studio on the property—he's happy to help guests plan their days, or to leave them to their own devices. This is really the perfect balance between a vacation rental and an upscale country inn.
