Paul "Paco" Castillo, who hails from a long line of local Taos artists and curio-shop owners, runs this festive and friendly B&B just a block off of Kit Carson Road and a few minutes' stroll from the plaza. It's one of the best bargains in the neighborhood, and rooms in this 19th-century adobe structure with latilla-and-viga ceilings are decorated with art and antiques from New Mexico, Mexico, and Spain—many have Jacuzzi tubs. The quirkiest and coziest room is also
the least expensive room—it's hidden up a spiral staircase and has low ceilings, but there's a nice view of Wheeler Peak to the east.
