Mountain views abound from the rooms and courtyard of this B&B on the high plain between Taos and the ski valley. The 4-acre property is private; the only neighbors you have are friendly horses from adjoining farms. Some rooms have private outside entryways and fenced gardens, where you can languish in seclusion. Heated saltillo-tile floors, kiva fireplaces, whirlpool baths, Bose stereos, Victorian antiques, generous breakfasts (which feature such creative fare as hazelnut-lemon-cream cheese French toast), and afternoon wine with hors d'oeuvres make it a hard place to leave, even for skiing.
