Fodor's Review:
On Outlaw Hill in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, this old adobe homestead has 100-mi-long views and sunsets that dazzle. The outdoor patio encircled by a piñon forest has kiva fireplaces to warm you during cooler months. The decadent fare is well-prepared, fully living up to the view it accompanies -- try filet mignon, buffalo rib eye with jalapeño sauce, duck with apple-raisin chutney, or -- if you're truly up for a challenge -- the grilled 32-ounce cowboy steak with chipotle barbecue sauce. Don't miss the tasty desserts, such as Kentucky bourbon pecan pie and crème brûlée with toasted coconut.
