D. H. Lawrence visited this house in 1929; accordingly, the inn's owner, Taos artist Bren Price, has named many of the antique-filled rooms after famous Taos literary figures. The grounds overlook part of the Taos Pueblo lands, about a mile north of Taos Plaza. Some rooms have fireplaces. The enormous Royale Suite has a second-story private deck and large bathroom with Jacuzzi, walk-in shower, and skylight. Early-morning coffee is available in the living room, and breakfasts
with inventive vegetarian presentations (such as blueberry pancakes with lemon sauce) are served in the glassed-in patio. The adjacent spa offers a wide range of beauty and skin treatments.
