A couple of blocks from Taos Plaza, this family-friendly 100-year-old inn—the former home of early Taos Society artist Burt Phillips—has beam ceilings, a decorative arched doorway, and the intimacy of a private hacienda. Five guest rooms are in the main house; the sixth unit is a separate cottage with a king-size bed, sitting room, and fireplace. The rooms all have mountain or courtyard garden views, and some open onto private patios. Almost all have kiva-style fireplaces.
Breakfasts are hearty and delicious.
