Tile hearths, French doors, and traditional viga ceilings grace this sophisticated inn. Formerly known as Casa de Chimeneas, it was purchased by New Mexico's respected Heritage Hotels & Resorts group in 2013. The 1912 structure is set behind thick walls and located a 10-minute walk from the Plaza. Each room has a private entrance, fireplace, handmade New Mexican furniture, radiant-heated floors, bathrooms with Talavera tiles and jetted tubs, and a minifridge. At this writing a major room renovation is planned for 2014. All rooms overlook the gardens, and facilities include a small but excellent spa offering a wide range of treatments. The three-course breakfasts are impressive.
