Black Bear Lodge Review

Tucked into the secluded tall pines of the Upper Canyon, each of this adults-only inn's four spacious rooms has its own Jacuzzi, wood-panel ceiling, and fireplace. Owner Carol Olson, who re-created the property from a 1930s-era restaurant, has created a great room that has all the coziness of a family room. Privacy is emphasized above communal gatherings here, and you're on your own for breakfast (although breakfast items, as well as homemade cookies and other snacks, are stocked in the common-area refrigerator). The front porch is a wonderful place to sit and watch dozens of hummingbirds frolic during the spring and summer.
