Bottomless Lakes State Park

Off U.S. 380, 12 mi east of Roswell; turn south on NM 409 and continue 3 mi, Roswell, New Mexico, 88201, United States

Lea Lake, 90 feet deep, is the only lake of the group in this park where swimming is allowed. In summer, you can rent paddleboards and paddleboats for a small fee. The lakes stand in stark contrast to the hot, unshaded surroundings, although the campgrounds do have sheltered picnic tables. Rainbow trout are stocked in Devil's Inkwell during the winter months.
