Arroyo Vino

Arroyo Vino Review

It's worth making the 15-minute trek out to Santa Fe's western mesa to dine at this outstanding bistro–cum–wine shop that's quickly developed a devout following among locals. At the store, stock up on often hard-to-find vintages from all over the world—for a $20 corkage fee, you can also enjoy your new Bordeaux or Albariño in the airy dining room, where tables are set around a central wine bar and the night's specials are handwritten on a chalkboard. The menu of deftly-prepared contemporary American fare is in a small-plate format, with dishes like braised veal cheeks with polenta and tomato confit, and housemade pappardelle pasta with lamb ragu and feta running $10–$15, but you'll want to order two to four portions per person.
