Ardent foodies regularly trek 4 miles south along traffic-choked Cerrillos Road to experience one of the more memorable dining adventures in Santa Fe. Chef Josh Gerwin ran this operation out of a wildly popular food truck before opening the airy and attractive brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2013, situated in a nondescript shopping center beside Jackalope. He utilizes a farm-to-table approach in his boldly flavored cuisine—note the "Bad Ass BLT," piled high with ground
bacon sculpted into a massive patty. Start with the queso dip (served with two types of housemade salsa), which may be the best in town, before considering the wood-fired buffalo burger, Cuban sandwich, or the addictive carne adovada egg roll with peanut dipping sauce.
