Fodor's Review

The geological wonder known as Soda Dam was created over thousands of years by travertine deposits—minerals that precipitate out of geothermal springs. With its strange mushroom-shaped exterior and caves split by a roaring waterfall, it's no wonder the spot was considered sacred by Native Americans. In summer it's popular for swimming.
