Madeleine Inn Review

Santa Fe hasn't always been a town of pseudopueblo buildings, and this lovely Queen Anne Victorian is a dramatic reminder of the city's more eclectic architectural heritage. Built by a railroad tycoon in 1886, this beautifully maintained B&B is nestled amongst mature trees and gardens just four blocks from the Plaza. Plush beds, lovely antiques and art adorn the rooms. Fireplaces grace four rooms and the smells of freshly baked goodies welcome you in the afternoon. The homemade organic breakfasts are worth sticking around for, and the staff is professional and gracious. The wonderful Absolute Nirvana spa is on the premises, and guests have privileges at El Gancho Health Club (a 15-minute drive).
