This classy, lodgelike space with high ceilings and a tremendously popular piano cabaret serves hefty portions of well-prepared chops and seafood to a well-heeled, older clientele. New Zealand rack of lamb, tenderloin of elk, and dry-aged steaks are among the specialties. There's lighter fare—burgers, onion loaf, salads—served in the piano bar, where noted musicians Doug Montgomery and Charles Tichenor perform classical and Broadway favorites well into the evening (no cover).

    This has been a favorite for many years particularly for cocktails and entertainment in the bar. The food is quite good but I'm not much of a carnavore so it's kind of wasted on me because the menu is heavily cow centric. Beautiful space and gracious service though. Not inexpensive.
