La Casa Sena Review

The Southwestern-accented and Continental fare served at La Casa Sena is beautifully presented if not consistently as delicious as it appears. Weather permitting, get a table on the patio surrounded by hollyhocks, flowering shrubs, and centuries-old adobe walls. A favorite entrée is the braised Colorado lamb shank with chipotle-huitlacoche demi-glace, roasted purple- and Yukon-gold potatoes, braised cipollini onions, and orange gremolata. There's a knockout lavender crème brûlée as well as a tantalizingly spicy-sweet chocolate-red chile soup served with strawberries, whipped cream, and honey-sugared piñons on the dessert menu. For a musical meal (evenings only), sit in the restaurant's adjacent, less-pricey Cantina ($$), where the talented and perky staff belt out Broadway show tunes. An on-site wine shop sells many of the estimable vintages offered on the restaurant's wine list.

    Can you spell TOURIST TRAP

High prices, small servings and not the best tasting food around ( try Diago's in DeVargas Mall for great food). Lots of tourists and is in downtown Santa Fe so it will stay in business forever but tourists don't equate with quality fare.
