Gabriel's Review

This restaurant has location (convenient for pre-opera and post-high-road tours), a gorgeous setting (the Spanish colonial-style art, the building, the flower-filled courtyard, and those mountain views!), and the made-to-order guacamole going for it. The margaritas aren't too shabby either. The caveat? The quality of the entrées tends to be wildly uneven. Service is generally friendly, but as uneven as the food. If you're content with a gorgeous setting and making the stellar guacamole and margaritas your mainstay, this is a fine place to go for sunset. Prices are reasonable and the views truly are spectacular.

    Gabriel's Review

Located ON an access ramp, parking is plentiful (some shade available!).

Enter via a "coyote fence" tunnel to a nice open courtyard. Beyond the courtyard is the bar and main dining room.

Food and service seemed production-line/factory-like... food just OK. Table side guacamole is a neat side show (anyone remember table side Ceaser salads?) Anyway, the guac was definitley fresh, just good and overpriced.

All in all, worth A visit.

    Don't miss this

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Santa Fe - actually it's a few miles outside the town, but well worth the trip! Fresh guacamole made to order at your table. Great sopapillas, margaritas, and regional food. Last time I got the cowboy steak, and it was amazing!! We go every time, and we go for a reason -it has become a tradition, and I often dream of the food.Prepare to be stuffed!
