Occupying a sun-filled, second-floor space just off the Plaza, this convivial spot offers inexpensive, well-prepared American fare with New Mexican flourishes, along with a nice selection of wines, beers, and cocktails. It's a family-friendly place with comfy booths and smaller hardwood tables and chairs, and walls adorned with fine local art. Popular starters include fried calamari or pan-seared shrimp salad. The half-pound burger here is superb, along with such reliable
standbys as Asiago-basil-garlic ravioli and grilled ruby trout with grilled-pineapple salsa.

Clean, well lit and family friendly. Menu wasn't terribly adventurous, not plain, just safe (patty melts, steak salads, token Tex-mex... plenty of comfort food for folks who might'd OD on southwestern fare). Fun, attentive staff too.

Tucked into a street mall that we might have otherwise overlooked, my dining companion and I were lured into the grill by a young man handing out "free appetizer" coupons on the street. We were not disappointed. The reasonably-priced menu is eclectic enough to please everyone, and the diners fortunate enough to snag a window seat have a nice view of the streets below.
