Consisting of a simple four-room motel-style inn and a cute adobe-and-stone café with a corrugated-metal roof, the Laughing Lizard makes for a sweet and cheerful diversion—it's right in the center of the village. Rooms are cozy and simple with white linens, dressers, books, and porches that look out over the rugged mesa beyond the river valley. Tasty, eclectic fare—great salads, freshly ground burgers, super calzones and pizzas, and a lineup of New Mexican favorites—is
served in the homey café, which has a Saltillo-tile screened porch and an open-air wooden deck. This hub of friendly energy is owned and operated by the Lagan family, and their care and attention shows.
