Of the dozens of chain properties along gritty Cerrillos Road, this is the only bona fide gem, even though it looks like all the others: clad in faux adobe and surrounded by parking lots and strip malls. Don't fret—it's easy to forget about the morose setting once inside this glitzy miniature resort, which comprises several buildings set around a warren of lushly landscaped interior courtyards. Rooms have the usual upscale-chain doodads: mini-refrigerators, coffeemakers, hair dryers, clock radios—there's also high-speed Internet. Aesthetically, the rooms look Southwestern, with chunky carved-wood armoires, desks, and headboards reminiscent of a Spanish-colonial hacienda.
