Set in a tiny converted 1920s grocery store (it still contains the original deli counter and refrigerator), this café is most famous for its savory and sweet pies, from chicken to gooseberry to coconut cream. But you can drop in at lunchtime to sample such exquisite sandwiches as roast beef with vine-ripened tomatoes and blue-cheese cole slaw. There's also a wide selection of kitchen goods, gourmet foods, and fun knickknacks. Parking is at the vintage Texaco station a few doors down.
