What a delightful place. Too bad the food didn't measure up. On Sunday the wines are all 50% off and the list is very impressive (owner is in the wine trade). Unfortunately, the kitchen can't execute and the menu is poorly conceived; Elk covered with goat cheese and nuts....why mask a great piece of wild game with chevre? Sweetbreads with a cloying/salty sauce. Everything "missed" the mark. The staff were great. If they could get the kitchen together it would be a great place.
Without a doubt the best dining experience we had on our last trip to Santa Fe. Wonderful food, interesting interior and our waiter and the rest of the staff was outstanding. We dined at Geronimo and Inn of the Anasazi later in the same week and neither came close.
